beginner musical improvisation
This workshop is perfect for those with little or no musical improv experience, whether or not you think you can “sing”. Baby Wants Candy has taught beginner musical improv for literally thousands of students, and by the end of this workshop you WILL be able to improvise songs! No experience necessary.

intermediate - advanced musical improvisation
This is an excellent workshop for those who have some basic musical improv and/or singing experience, but feel like they need help in taking the next step. We will work on more advanced song structure and song types (e.g, tagline songs, duets, love songs, trios, etc) and introduce concepts of using songs in narrative structures. Some musical or musical improv experience preferred.

Who is this suitable for?
Improvisers who want to learn musical improvisation from one of the best shows in the world.
How much improv or acting should I have done before doing the workshop?
For the beginners musical improvisation workshop a bit of improv (at least a couple of workshops) but no singing experience required. For the intermediate-advanced workshop you should already have some singing or musical improv experience.
What comes after this course?
We have a variety of other advanced improv courses that would be suitable with themes like Story, Musicals, Harold, Character and more.
What’s the class size?
Limited to 16 people for the workshops.

What if I’m running late?
Please please please don't book if you're going to be later. This is a focussed session with fantastic international improvisers and we want to be present and together as a team right from the start. We may not admit latecomers.
